About Me

Hi, my name is Hannah. I'm a Kinesiology major and Michigan State University. If you don't know what kinesiology is, the definition is the study of the movement of the body. As a kinesiology major the options for pathways seem endless. Besides becoming a superhero and getting to save people wearing an awesome costume with a secret identity, becoming a physical therapist has almost always been a close runner up. I've always thought about becoming a physical therapist someday, I even thought I wanted to go into physical therapy before I knew what it actually was. There was a point in time where I just thought it sounded cool so that's what I wanted to be. There's always been something about physical therapy that has attracted me to that profession. I've been an athlete since I learned to walk, and there's been no slowing down since then. I've been involved in sports everywhere from dance to soccer, and through all my different experiences with sports I found that my passion lies with volleyball and soccer. Being an athlete, the movement of the body has always been second nature to me. No, I haven't had any drastic injuries in my life so far that have required physical therapy so I'm not one of those people who found their inspiration in physical therapy through that. I simply find everything about it intriguing; the way that one can rehabilate themselves through movement of the body and muscles is amazing to me. Lately though, I've become indecisive about what I want to do with my life (like almost everyone else that I've talked to). This blog is part of a writing research project where I'm going to try and use my skills in writing, creativity, and research in attempt to dig deep into physical therapy to try and find out what it REALLY is and what it entitles. I want to find out if the job is right for me and if I'm right for the job. I need to find out what I want to do at some point, and there's no better day to start than today.
